Torah Class
Is an in depth study section by section through the first five books of the bible.     Discover with us how believers in Jesus relate to the Old Testament Law (Torah) and where it fits into a life of faith.  Torah is Hebrew for teaching and instruction.  This word comes from the root yarah which means to throw or cast.  It carries with it the idea of casting someone in a direction, through the teaching (torah) of a moreh (teacher, derived from the same root).  So Torah is the content (teaching and instruction) that a moreh (teacher) uses to yarah (cast in a certain direction) his disciple.
It is time to return to the ancient foundation of our faith: the Torah. The job of a disciple is to imitate his teacher in every way, learning not only the way he understood Scripture but also how he ate, how he celebrated holidays, how he gave charity, and every detail of his life. The Master himself explained: "A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher." (Luke 6:40)
